Week of March 1-5

Can you believe March is here already?! The sunshine is a welcome change from the gray skies we've grown accostomed to over the past few months.

This week in Language Arts we will be wrapping up our poetry unit by writing and recording raps. The raps are written in an AA BB rhyme pattern and performed over a 4/4 drum beat. We will also continue to read "Horns & Wrinkles" and write in our journals.

In reading we will be reading "Swimming with Sea Lions" and poetry about animals. We will be completing an art project that ties to the animal poetry and we will be talking about diaries and journals. Our weekly reading goal is to complete 100 minutes of at home reading.
